Prices verified against live provider pages on 2026-07-16. No affiliate links. Sources: fal.ai · fal.ai · fal.ai · Gemini API (Google). *Derived rates use fal.ai's published token formula (height × width × duration × 24 ÷ 1024 tokens; $0.014/1k at 480p–1080p, $0.008/1k at 4K). kie.ai and Seedance 2.5 will be added when we can verify real billing.

How to read the numbers

  • Per-second billing is the norm. All three providers bill by generated second, so clip length is the dominant cost lever — a 30s clip costs 3× a 10s clip, full stop.
  • Resolution jumps are expensive. Seedance 2.0 at 1080p costs 2.2× its 720p rate; Veo 3.1 at 4K is 1.5× its 1080p rate. Generate drafts at 720p, re-render winners high-res.
  • The gap compounds at volume. At 30 × 10-second clips a month in 720p, the spread between the cheapest and the most expensive verified option is roughly 10×. That's the entire argument of our Seedance vs Veo cost analysis.

What's deliberately missing

kie.ai (unverifiable price table — pending our hands-on billing test) and Seedance 2.5 (unreleased; no real pricing exists). See the API status board for availability and the release calendar for timing.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these prices come from?
Directly from provider pages — fal.ai model pages for Seedance and Kling, and Google's official Gemini API pricing page for Veo. Each rate links its source, and the whole table shows its last verification date (currently 2026-07-16). When a price isn't published directly, we either derive it from the provider's published formula and mark it "derived", or leave it out.
Why isn't kie.ai in the calculator?
kie.ai's price table loads dynamically and we haven't been able to verify its numbers against a live page yet. We'd rather omit a provider than guess. It will be added once we've run real billed generations through it.
Why isn't Seedance 2.5 here?
It isn't released, so no real pricing exists. Any site quoting Seedance 2.5 prices today is making them up. We'll add measured pricing within hours of API availability — join the waitlist on the generate page to get that number by email.
Do these prices include audio?
Seedance 2.0 and Veo 3.1 include native audio in the listed rate. Kling 3.0 charges separately: $0.084/s without audio, $0.126/s with audio — the toggle in the calculator switches between the two.
