How to read the numbers
- Per-second billing is the norm. All three providers bill by generated second, so clip length is the dominant cost lever — a 30s clip costs 3× a 10s clip, full stop.
- Resolution jumps are expensive. Seedance 2.0 at 1080p costs 2.2× its 720p rate; Veo 3.1 at 4K is 1.5× its 1080p rate. Generate drafts at 720p, re-render winners high-res.
- The gap compounds at volume. At 30 × 10-second clips a month in 720p, the spread between the cheapest and the most expensive verified option is roughly 10×. That's the entire argument of our Seedance vs Veo cost analysis.
What's deliberately missing
kie.ai (unverifiable price table — pending our hands-on billing test) and Seedance 2.5 (unreleased; no real pricing exists). See the API status board for availability and the release calendar for timing.
